Too Loud for My Tastes

By Eric Richardson
Published: Saturday, February 19, 2005, at 12:07PM

There's a little place on the NW corner of 6th & Spring that I go to every couple of days to get a sandwich. Today I was in there and apparently the building owners are doing some sort of work in the basement involving perhaps a jackhammer. In any case it was pretty loud and you could feel the sandwich shop's floor and counter vibrating. The nice asian lady who was working just smiled apologetically, but if I had to work with that going on downstairs I'd go crazy. I don't know how the building owner can expect them to keep open in those conditions.
