Eric finally got part three of his Spring St. food empire open a couple weeks ago, when Downtown Pizza Kitchen opened its doors on the Spring St. side of the Hayward Hotel.

I got a pasta dish from them soon after and really enjoyed it, but it wasn't until Monday that I got the pizza. It's really good. A small cheese is $5.50, large $8.00, then toppings are $0.75 each. I had sausage and mushrooms. I ate that pizza for three straight meals and loved every time.

They're open lunch and dinner, and close at 9pm right now. Come summer hours should extend a few hours later.

I was wondering when this would show up on your blog. I ate there yesterday and found the pizza to be better than the pizza by the slice place two blocks west on 6th.

However, they are still just starting so expect the service to be slow and somewhat disorganized. I expect things will run smoother in the next month or so.
