Last Remaining Seats

By Eric Richardson
Published: Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at 12:45AM

I got my pamphlet for Last Remaining Seats in the mail today and eagerly opened it to see what films were playing where. There are four films Downtown -- but all at the Orpheum. Last year I very much enjoyed getting to see a couple films at the Los Angeles Theatre, and I was hoping to perhaps see that and another of the Downtown theatres such as the Palace involved, but it looks like that's not to be this year. They've done an amazing job restoring the Orpheum, but showing two-thirds of the films there seems to say to me that the Conservancy was having trouble getting into some of the other places they've held screenings at in the past.

Outside of the Orpheum, films are also being shown at the Alex Theatre in Glendale and the Hollywood Pacific Theatre in Hollywood.

yes there were difficulties in securing my personal favorite, The Los Angeles Theatre. very sad. but at least the program continues and i'm excited about the Hollywood Pacific. rumor has it there are half as many tickets as normal available there because it's a smaller theatre so buy your tickets soon if you want to see that movie and/or house.
