Angry Loft Residents Hurling Things?

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The helicoptor that you can barely see in this thumbnail was circling in the vicinity of the library for twenty minutes or so Saturday night as I was waiting outside McCormick and Schmick's to meet the town criers for dinner. It kept circling very low, and I was having a hard time making out what was going on.
When the first criers arrived they said they had been walking past Pegasus and had seen a group of police cars converge on the building. One of the criers asked what was going on and was told that someone was throwing things off the roof, and the cops wanted to make sure no one got hurt.
I haven't found anything more about this, so if anyone has any tidbits of information I'd love to hear them.

It must be just that part of town that warrants such LAPD vigilance. If a helicoptor or more than one squad car showed up at my building every time someone threw something off the roof or a window, I'd never get any peace. I've seen everything from cigarettes, radios, TV dinners and spouses being jettisoned from windows in my building.

Also, perhaps there people were a little concerned about protecting the reputation of the brand new Daily Grill downstairs. e-;
