No Parking

I really do get the feeling that all the talk that's gone into closing the Spring Street contraflow lane was unnecessary: Hollywood closed the lane already. Today marks at least the fourth day out of the last two weeks or so that the contraflow lane has been closed between 6th and 7th.

Also today, a fun new twist on lane closures. The no parking signs on the righthand curb say Thursday & Friday, but cones block the lane on Tuesday. Riding down Spring from 1st this led to a fun situation between 4th and 5th where a semi was parked in the second lane out to do some unloading. You can imagine that didn't do good things for the traffic. And there's still no filming notice posted in my building for any shoots right now, even though the crew was filming next door at at 12:45.
