A Night at the Orpheum

Saturday, October 15th, the Producer's Guild and Jerry Bruckheimer are having a benefit for the Conservancy called "A Night at the Orpheum." From the flyer I received in today's mail:

Go back in time to an era of comedy, song, dance, and unique entertainment while supporting the Los Angeles Conservancy. Movie palaces such as the Orpheum are at the heart of the Conservancy's efforts to preserve this heritage.

There's a cocktail reception, some vaudville, and then a showing of Harold Lloyd's "The Freshman".

Tickets are $40, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster. The postcard I received says I can get $5 off for each ticket purchased before September 30th. I don't know if everyone got the cards late or if I'm just on the second-run list. The Ticketmaster site still lists the discount as an option; not sure if that means they're honoring it late or not.

i'm thinking they had their hands full with the wilshire blvd. tour and it was probably a slight oversight on someone's part. oops.
