Los Angeles: Ab in die Mitte!

By Eric Richardson

If you read German you might be interested in checking out this GEO Magazine article on Downtown LA. I can't read German, so if you do I'll take your word on it. The babelfish translation leaves much to the imagination:

4000 LOFT and free-hold flats developed, 10000 further geplant-und the road life develop in similarly high speed: A restaurant for Hawaii fusion Cuisine opened, a sales room for expensive Sneaker, Saft-bar and exclusive clubs. Downtown sees each evening differently out than still in the evening before, and in the night a new Glitzerwelt opens itself ever more frequently.

Tom Gilmore gets a good bit of ink, but Brady gets both a good sized mention and his picture in there.

Wow. Pictures of the Bradbury, Los Angeles Theatre, Standard Hotel roof. Definitely a positive spin as far as that goes: no pictures of Skid Row or street people on Broadway. Makes Downtown look quite appealing, at least as far as the pictures go. I don't speak German.
