Black Ooze and Wandering Downtown

I read a few stories about the black ooze that bubbled on Olive this weekend and one of the first things I thought about was "Hey, Downtown's oil well's right near there." Then I forgot about it and went to bed.

In Dave's post from yesterday over on blogging.la he notes that the St. James facility was indeed likely to be involved.

The fact that Downtown had a working rig was something I had no clue about until a few weeks ago. I was out on my bike, wandering around, and just happened upon it. That's why I like taking rides like that -- you learn things about Downtown you just wouldn't know otherwise. Try it out: just go wander and see what you run across. It's fun.
