Join the Skid Row Neighborhood Walk

By Eric Richardson
Published: Wednesday, March 01, 2006, at 02:12PM

I've previously mentioned the Skid Row Neighborhood Walk, but tonight I intend to actually make it out to one.

CCEA is working closely with Councilmember Jan Perry, Skid Row residents, LAPD, state and county legislators, service providers and a multitude of other stakeholders to affect positive policy changes for our community. Our monthly walks have successfully garnered the attention of federal, state, county and city legislators who are all working on various solutions for the inhumane conditions that exist in Skid Row.

The walk begins at the new Midnight Mission (601 S. San Pedro) at 6pm. I've heard nothing but great things about not just the attention the walk brings to the neighborhood, but also the good things the people on it are able to do for individuals they encounter.
