A Night for Police Activity

By Eric Richardson
Published: Tuesday, March 07, 2006, at 11:22PM

Walking home down 7th around 10pm I saw two clusters of unusual activity. Parked around the corner of 7th and Olive were five or six LAPD K9 cars. I didn't see any activity, but the cars weren't parked in any normal fashion. Several were sitting on the corner, obstructing the crosswalks.

As I reached Spring I noticed something else going on. 7th St. east of Main was blocked off with yellow tape, and a squad car was sitting there instructing traffic to detour.

Not sure what was up with either of these. It made for an interesting walk home, though. Especially when one of the dogs started barking at me from inside a dark K9 car. That gave me a jump.
