Quick Bits

By Eric Richardson

A few quick questions and observations for a Monday morning:

  • I saw an LAFD ladder truck at the old Trinity Auditorium / new Gansvoort West Building yesterday around 10am. Sunday morning construction fire? It seems little fires are pretty common on these renovations, but I wouldn't have thought they'd be at work on a Sunday morning.

  • Does anyone know what's being done to the weird little Okada Restaurant building next to the former Clifton's? I keep seeing lights on in there at night, and a week or so ago they broke out a window on one of the upper floors.

  • I find it ironic that LA doesn't have a team, but yet 6th and 7th streets served as backdrop for a Monday Night Football commercial shoot this weekend.

Regarding to poss. work at the Osaka Restaurant, maybe its related to the Seven Grand bar/nightclub going into the Cliftons space.
