Looking at Freeway Ramps

By Eric Richardson

This isn't exactly Downtown related, but I figure it might still be of interest... Tonight I wrote something up looking at how different online mapping applications draw freeway ramps. I think it's a fascinating bit of mapping to look at because its so hard to do right.

So much has gone into how people use maps lately, but no one's done anything especially cool with the maps themselves.

I'll also take the opportunity to again plug the interactive map of Downtown L.A. done by Cartifact and the DCBID. If you haven't already, load up the map and use the search functionality in the lefthand sidebar to pull up information on things like pet-friendly residential, live-work units, price ranges, etc. There's a lot of fun data there.
