Film/TV Shoot on 7th Street Eric Richardson [Flickr]

Forget the rally or the crowds -- coolest thing I saw today was a guy getting winched up the side of a building.

I didn't ask what the shoot was for, but this was the scene on 7th next to the Jewelry Theater Building. The guy halfway up the picture is getting pulled back up for another take. The big crane (which would have seemed giant until last week) held the harness cables for both him and another guy standing up on the ledge.

Some other shots of the action: the crane; the camera; people watching; (and my favorite) floating guy with his back to us.

We happened upon that filming, too. The security guard told us it was for an NBC pilot called "Heroes."
