Imagining a Civic Park

I don't know exactly when it went up, but this weekend was the first time I'd seen the mural on the side of M.J. Higgins Gallery. It shows the old Caltrans site as they'd like to see it, with a park instead of a new LAPD headquarters.

I feel like the mural can't have been up too long, since I think I'd been up Main within the past few weeks.

Linking this posting to todays rallying activities, has anyone noticed that every single camera angle of the rally at city hall managed to exclude the face of the Higgins building and the Civic park banners adressing the mayor!!
