This morning Brian Humphrey posted a plug for Hope for Firefighters over at the LAFD Blog. The fun happens June 1st (next Thursday) and runs from 11:30am to 1:30pm.

Fire Stations from throughout the City will partner with local business sponsors to present a variety of food booths featuring a taste of the Firehouse prepared and served by the Firefighters themselves.

Corporate teams from local businesses will also compete in Firefighter Muster games featuring the Bucket Brigade, Firefighter Suit Up Competition and Old Fashion Hose Pull Contest.

All are welcome! Admission to the venue is absolutely free.

I've never been to one of these events, but now that I'm working Downtown there's no excuse to miss it. Jim Winstead credits Hope for Firefighters with helping spark his interest in moving Downtown.
