Fire in the Fashion District
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — I was walking back to my apartment around lunch time and saw an LAFD Urban Search & Rescue truck tear by 7th and Olive with lights and siren running. I suspect it may have been in route to the fashion district, where fire destroyed a building at 1129 S. San Julian. There's a short post on the LAFD blog.

I took a snapshot from my home during the fire. I heard all those news helicopters, but no TV see hear what was going on.
