Looks like a nice cozy place for authentic French cafe food. I wonder if it's walk-able from the RedLine. If it is I can go there for a quick lunch or takeout, too many good restaurants that are not accessible for the lunchtime office crowd.

Yummy French food, love the location and the urban feel. My wife and I have always been somewhat disappointed that Angelique's was closed on Sunday. I'm glad that has changed. Even beyond my own selfish interests, I'm glad because it indicates to me that the area is becoming economically more viable even on weekends.

Is it walk-able from the Red Line? Well, it's a bit of a walk. From Metro Center, it's five blocks east and two blocks south. Check it out though if you can.

that's great news. now all they need to do is to stay open for dinner, and it would be perfect. imagine the place all lit up at night with candles and string lights.

For those who are not familiar with the restaurant, I can attest after almost a decade patronizing the place, it is excellent. Definitely worth the walk. I always recommend the place for those headed to the Fashion District. As a long-time patron, I'm pleasantly surprised they have decided to open on Sundays. They've always catered to the Fashion District. Sundays see many of the businesses in the district shut down, so it isn't near as busy as the rest of the week.

That said, if we want Angelique's to remain open on Sundays, we need to show up and give Florence our business.

P.S. I remember many years ago, they did try some limited evening hours. Of course, the market wasn't there yet.

Get off at Pershing Square, walk over on 5th Street to Spring, then take the D Dash (25 cents) which will take you right to Angelique Cafe. That would be much faster than walking. The bus comes every 5 minutes. To take the Dash back, you pick it up on Main Street, which is diagonally across from the cafe. If you already have a Metro pass, the Dash is free. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the rec. Had a great brunch there this morning. Sitting outdoors in the sun, enjoying a nice breakfast and the Sunday Times...the urban living we downtown dwellers long for.

I see they are shooting a film at Angelique's tonight. The way they've got it light up, one can see the possibilities for how downtown could look at night. I wish I had a camera right now.
