DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — I'm in Michigan, but these two bits reached me via email:
Ralphs: Apparently the Ralph's at 9th and Flower now has a sign up. There have been rumors that the store could be running ahead of schedule, which is definitely a good change after how many delays it took getting going.
LAPD HQ: Anthony, who apparently lives in the Higgins Building, is putting periodic photos of the LAPD headquarters construction up at http://www.iknowla.net.

Definitely looks like they're making progress. They started putting the ground floor window frames in along 9th street, and there are signs up showing the future locataions all of the other retail spaces along Flower and Hope.

Windows on the ground floor along 9th street are completely in. They're making some tangible progress. But I don't see them opening a store before June or July. It takes a lot of time to fit out and get approvals for retail space in our fine city.
