Groundwork Open, Coffee Now Plentiful

Continuing to catch up on news that's several days old, the new Groundwork Coffee in the Higgins Building (2nd/Main) opened at the beginning of the week.

Build-out on any type of eatery in the Historic Core tends to take forever, so it's very good to see their doors finally open. Hours are 7am to 7pm, 7 days a week.

In other coffee news, LAstraphanger writes that the Starbucks at 6th/Grand will open Monday and also makes a pitch for First Cup Caffe, located in the huge parking garage on Spring between 3rd and 4th.

Thank you for the mention, blogdowntown! It made the Straphanger's day... As they say in the entertainment biz, "I'm a BIG fan...big, big fan." Now, let us raise our coffee cups and toast the ongoing rebirth of our beloved Downtown Los Angeles!

Groundwork is the best. I love and can't get enough of their store in Venice.
