DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — This is a totally meaningless antecdote from Downtown life, but it makes me laugh so I'm going to share it here.
On Tuesday I was walking back toward the office from lunch and noticed a good bit of police activity going on. A black and white would speed into an intersection, pause to look around and then zoom off one direction or another. An LAPD chopper was also circling overhead so I headed toward what seemed to be the epicenter of the activity.
Eventually I found where things were going on at the corner of Hope and Olympic. LAPD seemed satisfied that the operation was wrapped up, so I walked over to ask a construction worker if he knew what was going on. He told me that it was a drug bust, and that the guy had run across Grand Hope Park before getting caught here.
And then with no pause... "Look at the legs on that one."
And with that talk of police and arrests was over, and it was time for the construction workers to ogle a leggy female in a short skirt.

Grand Hope Park is THE place to go to look at hot design student girls in the afternoon

That seems like a typical city-life story. Cheers for sharing.
