Bunker Mentality

I know it's super early, but I think it safe to say that the State Office Building at 3rd and Spring is the prohibitive favorite to win the Building Most Intent to Protect Itself from Marchers award.

They've got barriers up on all three of the building's exposed faces with only narrow entrances for employees to march through. I have to assume there just wasn't time to build a moat this year. Perhaps next time...

It's not like this is new behavior for the building, though. I would argue that the State Office Building is Downtown's least friendly structure. What is up with making it where you can't even see in the doors?

In other march news, the Times is again covering the day at its Breaking News blog.
