Only a few more hours until the blogdowntown picnic. As you can see, I’m making up a batch of chocolate chip cookies to bring up to the park. The first batch is cooling right now, and even if I do say so myself: they’re good.

If you haven’t yet planned on coming out, just make it a spur of the moment thing. Grab some take-out and bring it up to the park to meet some of the people who live and work around you.

Check out more details or a map of where we’ll be. We’ll see you there.

Debi and I are heading to Trader Joes for something good to munch on at the park. The weather is perfect.

Well Eric I made an effort to get to the picnic but I could not find any place to park and I was not sure where you were. When I attempted to read exactly where you were I am not computer enough suave to get the directions in the middle of my screen so the directions were cut off. Plus one of the reasons that I moved to downtown is that I would not have to put up with traffic. I could walk everywhere. Also there was a dodger game on Sunday and if I could find a parking place I could only have stayed a few minutes because the last thing that I wanted to do was to get caught in that dodger traffic. Maybe next time we could have the picnic at the cornfield or fidum. I know the views are nice up there I am a fifth generation angeleno and since I am a fifth generation angeleno I am in favor of turning this city into a real city where we use public transportation and walk where we need to go. It is green, better for our health and just better for Los Angeles. Hope to meet all of you soon. Deborah Zaricor
