Russell Brown to Head Historic Downtown BID

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — DLANC President J. Russell Brown confirmed late last week that he's accepted the Executive Director position for the Historic Downtown Business Improvement District. It was planned to be announced at Thursday's Thank-You to LAPD and it would have been fitting. If you remember last October, Russell quickly organized a townhall meeting at the same location. Russell has lead some of the changes around Downtown, plus with DLANC moving their offices to Main St, and public meetings now held at the Palace Theatre, he's guided an administrative presence accessible to residents and smaller businesses in the Historic Core.
Eric works closely with Russell, so I'm sure he will have some thoughts on it when he returns home.
