Feeling Left Out from Tonight's Doggy Event? Try FlexPetz
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES —
I was joking last week when I asked the DCBID's Hal Bastian about the possibility of renting a dog for today's Dog Day Afternoon (PDF invite) at the Cathedral. With eerie timing, though, the Times today runs a story about FlexPetz, a company that provides "shared pet ownership" in the Bay Area.
While I'm perfectly happy with car-sharing -- I've been a Flexcar member for two and a half years -- I don't know that I could get into pet-sharing.
Dog Day Afternoon takes place tonight from 6:30 to 9pm on the Cathedral plaza. Non dog owners still welcome.

Let's hope FlexPet and FlexCar don't meet in an accident.

if you love pets but know your lifestyle can't afford one, then volunteer at your local pet shelter. they need people to walk the dogs, play with them, say "good dog" every once in a while, etc. the price can't be beat, the dogs benefit, and you get a halo.
