DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Back in February, blogdowntown reported on the press conference where Mayor Villaraigosa announced the City's commitment to have WIFI city wide by 2009.
As part of the summer feasibility study, two Town Hall Meetings (PDF flyer) will give Angelenos a chance to provide input while the City continues to measure community interest. The second of these two meetings will be held at the Department of Water and Power on September 27 from 6:30 pm to 8pm (111 N. Hope St, Level A, Auditorium). The first meeting will be September 26 at 6262 Van Nuys Blvd, in Van Nuys.
Sidenote: There's now a City WIFI website to update those interested, in the LACity36 video introduction is Eric in a brief cameo representing "the people."
Eric notes: That shot of me with laptop was actually taken at the launch of the Pershing Square WIFI on April 28, 2005.
