I stopped by Weeneez today to pick up a chili dog for lunch and Sid handed me a little flyer they’re handing out in their building. It’s encouraging people to vote for Weeneez in the myfoxla Hot List Best Hotdog category.

Support a Downtown business by taking a minute to cast a vote in their favor.

I miss Skooby’s so much! They defintely had the best hotdogs in South Bay (Hermosa Beach). Weeneez is “ok”, but if I’m going to eat “junk” I want fries (or home-made potato chips) with it, not just a bag of Lays chips…

And Weeneez should review the Skoobies list of toppings to get a little more creative.

Just my $.02

Most of the places on that list serve mediocre hot dogs. So does Weeneez, but at least they’re downtown. LA has always been a burger town anyway.

Everyone’s a critic… I kinda like the place. Good chili-fritos.
