A Fancy Model for Downtown's Ritz
Ed Fuentes
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Word is that Downtown's fancy Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. Live have been reserving very well since going on the market just a few months ago. Word on the street is that reservations were so brisk that plans for a fancy sales center in the nearby Petroleum building were scaled back in the middle of build out. Why spend extra when you apparently don't need to?
As I found out Monday afternoon, the new sales office opened late last week. It certainly doesn't hurt the pitch to have such impressive visual aids on-hand. The center's two models make for great viewing. Frankly, The Ritz sales office looks more like an elegant waiting room for future suite owners to mingle and network while their air rights are being born a block away.
Two more shots after the jump.

Going back in the BDTLA time machine...look at how purdy those buildings are, without 50-foot-high Coke and Bud Light bottles disgracing them!
I wonder if any owners now are regretting their decisions, due to not just the economy but the garish ads!
