LAFD 'Brothers' Gather Downtown
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Around the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Downtown Los Angeles, trucks from Cities, Counties, Armed Services, Studios, and Federal fire units parked in a silent roll call on Temple and Main Street during the Friday morning memorial services for LAFD’s Brent Lovrien. In a procession, they were driven behind Lovrien’s red casket etched with his station number, “LAFD 95.” Then thousands of uniformed firefighters honored their brother’s life with a salute.
A few additional photos are available in a flickr set.

Not all guests at the event were local. Firefighters drove long distances to honor the memory of a fallen brother.
