Saturday: Arts District Co-Op Sale Shows Off Neighborhood's Creative Fabric

Tomorrow, May 31st, the Arts District shows off a bit of its wearable side as a trio of local clothing companies get together for the Traction Ave Fashion Co-Op.

The event is presented by Echo Park-based Evil Monito magazine, and features Arts District lines K.Z.O. "Cinematics", Apolis Activism and House of Cassette. The sale runs 10am - 5pm and will be at 836 Traction Ave.

While the Fashion District is certainly the epicenter for Downtown's garment-related trade, it's easy to miss how many creative companies are located throughout the Downtown area. While Downtown's lost the major corporations it once headquartered, small businesses in fields like fashion are booming.
