Welcome Back, Brockman
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The Brockman, West Millennium Group’s project at the corner of 7th and Grand, is finally out in the open. Over the past two days, the wooden canopy covering the sidewalk and hiding the building from view has been removed. As with other unveilings, its removal makes for a startling change in the feel of the corner.
It was last February that the black shroud covering the building’s upper floors started coming down. The building has been under construction for longer than many residents have lived Downtown, so for many this is a first view of the ground floor of a remarkable 1921 structure.
The project will be participating in this weekend’s Downtown L.A. Open House.

From $452 per square foot.. Something has got to give - given the current climate. This isn't Manhattan.
# on Jun.05.2008 AT 12:01 AMMore like $600 per foot for most of the lofts in the building. That is consistent with the Roosevelt, Market Lofts, etc... Seems a bit rich given the current environment, but more power to them if they can get those type of prices. I was in the Brockman this weekend and it is a beautiful building.
