The Redwood Bar & Grill on 2nd is adding a pair of new screens for tomorrow night's Game 2.

The Lakers are down 0-2 to the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals, but Tuesday night the games move to L.A. Those of us Downtown without a ticket will be huddled around television screens to see if the purple and gold can stage a comeback.

Those interested in watching the game with blogdowntown'ers should come by the Redwood Bar & Grill. The Redwood extended an offer to host Downtown bloggers and readers for Tuesday's contest, and will buy a round for those attending. Check in with blogdowntown and have a Bud, or a soft drink of your choice, courtesy of The Redwood.

Together, we can root on the team now in the hole 0 and 2, shout at the refs to call a foul on the Celtics, and wonder why the Lakers aren't driving to the basket. You know... all the general mayhem that goes with pushing your team to start the series.

Every Downtown blogger and reader is invited, even those who don't comment. And in the best effort of Downtown community fellowship, if you are a Celtics fan . . well, I'm up in the air about that one.

Of course you are invited as well.

The Redwood Bar has a full menu of appropriate fare and will have two new TV's installed for the big game. The place is fun and has good food, so even if you are not a basketball fan, you will still have a good time.

It's Blogweiser Night. 6pm tipoff.

Darn HCNC board meeting at 6, will likely go to nearest bar (410 Boyd) for 2nd half. Thanks for the offer.
