Made of Honor shoots at the P.E. Lofts in this file photo from May, 2007.

The HBO show Entourage rolls into the Pacific Electric Lofts tomorrow for a day of filming. The just-sent filming notice says things get underway at 5am, running until 10pm. What’s the scene involve? That’s less clear. The notice just says “Interior and exterior dialogue.”

Parking on the east side of the block will be closed off, as will the south curblane on 6th from Main to Los Angeles.

This should go over in our building like a load of bricks. But, maybe no one will notice.

Residents weren’t noticed in the building outside of the FilmLA notice…but also - we are in between building managers again.

When I lived at the PE Lofts, I was never bothered by this sort of thing. Though I lived facing the interior lightwell so I was bothered by resident parties, drunken pool gatherings at all hours and people thowing things down the lightwell. But since I’ve moved to more respectable digs downtown, I have never been bothered by anything: filming or otherwise. It just goes to show that you get what you pay for.

So far no sign of any production – just displaced bus stops at morning rush hour and displaced parking both on, and off, the street.

I haven’t been bothered by filming in the building either - with the lone exception of the elevators not being available in a timely manner. In the big picture - that’s not a big deal.

But, it would be nice to know when there’s going to be extra people in the building. I’d think twice about sneaking down the hall in my PJs with the garbage to toss down the chute.

all quiet on the western front…no major disturbances…and the filming is on my floor….

This was a very small shoot. One generator wagon along Main Street (blink and you miss it) and two small crew trucks parked out back along Los Angeles Street. I overheard that only two actors from the show were on site, one regular (sorry I dont watch the show so I forget his name) and one guest star. Kinda figures that they didn’t make a big production about notifying people. It wasn’t a big deal.

they also took over the surface parking lot behind the santa fe lofts, which they pulled into around midnight on the night before the shoot.

they pulled into at 12:34am and had trucks backing up (beep! beep! beep!) until 2:12am.

thankfully when they wrapped that location, they did so during daylight hours. so instead of throwing down metal poles as they struck base camp at 2am like most productions in that parking lot usually do, they just had two retired, off-duty cops stop rush hour traffic on main street, letting it back up several blocks, so they could let their trucks out of the parking lot on their timeschedule.

Hmmm… Maybe one of the Entourge boys is looking for a new place to live or dating someone in the building. Could it be E?
Something tells me Vince and the boys had to move out of their mansion once Medellin was a bust.
