Expect light posting over this holiday weekend as those of us here at blogdowntown take a break and perhaps catch some fireworks. For those of you still figuring out where to catch a show around L.A., check out this list from the Fire Department’s safejuly4th site.
From the flurry of Denver-related stories, you may well have figured out by now that I’m not currently Downtown. This afternoon Kathy and I arrived back in North Muskegon, Michigan, after a trip that put us in San Francisco, Denver and Chicago.
In the process we hit public transit hard. Between Sunday and today, we’ve ridden: (L.A.) the Red Line, the Union Station Flyaway, (S.F.) BART, Caltrain, (Denver) RTD’s free 16th Street Mall shuttle, (Chicago) the Blue Line and the South Shore Line. On top of that, we rode Amtrak from San Francisco to Denver.
Enjoy the weekend, and expect content to pick back up by Monday.
