DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — After a quiet holiday week, City Council once again gets down to business. As things get back into gear, it's shaping up to be a light early week for Downtown items. Still, here are some items Downtowners should be watching this week.
MONDAY: Public Safety Committee is the only meeting on the Council calendar, and it doesn't include any Downtown-centric items.
TUESDAY: Council's in session. Item 26 is a LaBonge / Garcetti motion (PDF) exploring the idea of giving building owners incentives to restore historic properties if they will be used in filming.
WEDNESDAY: Transportation committee is set to consider a number of bicycle-related items. DOT and Planning report on the city's Bicycle Master Plan, and the committee considers a Grueul / Reyes motion (PDF) regarding bicycle accomodations on Commuter Express and DASH.
