Winding Down on Winston

Crewest gallery owner Man One was approached by DLANC, a co-sponsor, to help arrange street logistics based on his previous use of Winston for gallery exhibits. He finished a piece in between watching over his gallery, and helping organize the days event.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — The half-block of Winston used for DLANC’s Park(ing) Day space on Friday won’t be turning into an actual park any time soon, but one had to be struck by the way the space accomodated art, music, sports and community information with ease.
Park(ing) Day turned the site into a street fair, offering an afternoon respite for residents and those who work in nearby offices. It’s an idea that would stand well as more than a once-per-year affair.

Tom Frueng was a crowd favorite providing a soundtrack for a street with one end in skid row, and the other in a new Downtown.

An experimental dog park worked for this canine, who had ownership of the only real grass on site.
