ShootDowntown: Rain? We're Still Planning to Shoot Tomorrow

shootdowntown

Tomorrow morning, October 4th, we’re getting together for a ShootDowntown Meetup. The weather forecast calls for a cool day with some chance of scattered showers, but we’re still sticking to the plan.

We’ll be meeting up at Arda’s Cafe at 9am to get some breakfast and talk about Downtown and photography. Unless it’s pouring out, we’ll be setting out at 10am to go explore the neighborhood from behind the lens.

We’ll post any last minute information here, but also via blogdowntown’s twitter account.

Arda’s Cafe is at 418 W. 6th, just across the street from Pershing Square. No matter your level of skill or comfort with a camera, come out to meet others interested in Downtown and get a chance to observe what others find photo-worthy.

Eric - Fantastic morning - thank you SO much! Such great people!

So I’m totally confused on how to upload the photos, can you post a little detailed info? I have a flicker account now, but not really getting how to find Shoot Downtown Two?? Is it a group?

Thanks and to all those who attended - great to meet you!

I uploaded 11 photos to Flickr, but since it’s a new account, the Flickr help says it’ll be a few days before they show up in searches. Meanwhile, see http://www.flickr.com/photos/edgreenberg

I had such an amazing time today with you all. I will be posting up the pictures once I develop my 35 mm film. Thank you to everyone who helped me figure my camera out. And enjoyed taking pictures of my cow/dog/pig backpack.

Thanks you guys (and everyone else who came out – there were 26 of us). I’ll be posting up a recap on Monday.

Karin: In flickr you have the ability to add tags to your photos. Just add shootdowntowntwo as a tag, so that they’ll show up here:

http://flickr.com/photos/tags/shootdowntowntwo/

Everyone’s also encouraged to join the blogdowntown pool and submit your favorite Downtown shots there. That’ll cause them to cycle through the little photo cube in the sidebar.

Ok, I tagged my photos, I can see them but I don’t see them when I search shootdowntowntwo for all uploads.

Here is the link if you can’t see them.

They look like they’re tagged correctly, so it may just be flickr’s search index being a little slow to update.

Had a good time Saturday. Got my photos up on Flicker. Did not make it out to the Art Walk tonight. I’d welcome another day out shooting. Rooftops sound good.
