ShootDowntown: Weather Cooperates for a Great Photo Walk
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Misty rain wasn't enough to scare people away from our second ShootDowntown Meetup on Saturday, as 26 of us took the chance to socialize while wandering Downtown with our cameras. In the end, the weather was a perfect partner and the skies dried up just as the group left our meeting point at Arda's Cafe.
As of this writing, 356 photos from 13 attendees have been posted to flickr tagged with shootdowntowntwo.
I'm excited to take a closer look at the photos over the next few days. As someone who spent more of my time worried about figuring out a route than actually looking through the lens, I've already noticed details that passed me by but got caught in others' photos.
We'll be projecting some of the photos from the day on Thursday, during our Art Walk event (details coming this evening).
Thanks to everyone who came out. This is something we plan on doing more often in the future.
The Readers' Photos feature is enabled on this story. ShootDowntown attendees: We'd love to have you submit a couple of your favorite shots from the day here. To do so, you'll first need to create a blogdowntown account. Once you're all logged in, directions should be pretty self-explanatory.

What a fantastic visual representation of downtown. This collection should be a book or something.

Had a good time Saturday on the Shoot Downtown2 walk. Overheard talk of the possibility of a rooftop outing. That would be great.

Absolutely Fabulous!! Great perspectives! Good eyes!
I'm tickled to pieces that I am now able to recognize the "snapshots" of the Downtown. I broke out of my shell and removed the blinders in January and have been exploring and touring the neighborhoods. I recognize a lot of the locales in these images and truly appreciate the vision.
