History fans get another chance to peek behind the scenes of a classic Broadway theater this Saturday, as the Los Angeles Historic Theatre Foundation presents "All About the Million Dollar Theater" on October 18. It's the second in a monthly series that will tell the story of historic theatres throughout Southern California.

While the day won't offer a Wurlitzer pipe organ demonstration like September's look at the Orpheum did, it provides a great chance to tour the inside and backstage of the venue built in 1918 by Sid Grauman.

As he did so well at LAHTF’s “All About the Orpheum,” historian Ed Kelsey will tell the story of the, and archived photos will be presented on the big screen.

Take some time to explore the outside on your own. Not many places Downtown have bison head, eagles and longhorn steer skulls sculptors decorating their facades.

"All About the Million Dollar Theater" / 307 S. Broadway / Saturday, October 18 / 10:30am / Free admission.
