Farmers and Merchants Bank at 4th/Main is one of two sites to view the election results on a big screen this Tuesday.

It's a good thing that Downtown has plenty of Election Night viewing options, because street closures for a Cadillac commercial might make driving difficult. 2nd street, 5th street and Grand avenue will all be shuttered after 8pm, but a pair of big-screen options give Downtowners the chance to take in the results closer to home.

RZA Films is the production company behind the Cadillac ads, and if filming notices are to be believed they're going to be employing a small army around Downtown on Tuesday. Notices that were sent out show the following streets closed from 8pm to 6am: 2nd Street Tunnel, Hope street from 2nd to 6th and 5th street from Flower to Hill. Additional closures on Lower Grand and Chick Hearn Court should have less effect on travel plans.

But why drive on Election Night? A pair of big-screen viewing options give a chance to mingle with neighbors as you take in the returns.

At 4th and Main, Gilmore Associates is sponsoring a viewing party in the Farmers & Merchants Bank. The fun gets started at 6pm and runs until the drama's over. There'll be a cash bar and food service by Rocket Pizza.

Up the street a block and a half, Downtown Independent is hosting a viewing party at the Imaginasian starting at 10am. There will be $2 pizza and $2 keg beer. Election viewing stops at 9pm, and is followed by a screening of "Choosing Connor" ($5).
