Unwatched Wet Concrete Makes a Bad Mix

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Long-under-construction eatery and market Bottega Louie poured some new ramps outside its future doorways recently. It appears the construction crew forgot that unattended wet concrete in the middle of an urban area makes for quite the bad mix.
The twin ramps on the 7th street side of the space are now decorated with various names and bits of profanity. Not exactly a result in keeping with the eatery's upscale image.
One would figure that when the work gets fixed, there will be someone keeping guard until it's quite good and dry.

Sucks, cuz now they're going to HAVE TO repave that sidewalk, which costs more money...

That sucks. It is not just a few names which they could maybe leave but some profanity and genitalia images. So probably want to fix that.

The punks who etch their gang-tags in concrete probably don't realize it, but with a typical city or prevailing-wage crew to set the forms and do the pour, their little artistry does more than $400' worth of damage, qualifying as felony vandalism.
Too bad the cops don't pick up on this.
