Friday: Bar Hop With blogdowntown

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — On this last Friday before the holidays, come out and enjoy some Downtown nightlife with blogdowntown. Every time we've done an event, the number one question I get asked is when we're going to the bars.

I don't know what that says about Downtown, but this Friday we're giving in and hitting up five drinking establishments accessible via the Late Night DASH on our first blogdowntown Bar Hop.

We're starting off our night at Cole's, the newly reopened originators of the French Dip sandwich. That'll give everyone a chance to get some food and potentially try out the house cocktail -- the Sazerac. I ran into Cedd Moses last night and he recommended trying the lamb French Dip with blue cheese.

Then we'll hop on the DASH and head up to Bunker Hill, stopping at Nick & Stef's for drinks and potentially a dessert. The manager has kindly agreed to keep their happy hour drink deals, which normally expire at 7:30, running for our visit.

A jump back on the DASH will bring us down the hill and over to Broadway, where we'll hop off at 9th for a stop at Broadway Bar.

Another quick trip on the free holiday shuttle will bring us over to the O Hotel's O Bar. We'll close down the place, but that doesn't mean last call -- they just close early.

One last ride will loop us down past L.A. Live and back into the Financial District to end up at Casey's.

7:00 - 8:00         Cole's

I'll be using blogdowntown's twitter account to give a play-by-play (and ironically for someone organizing a bar-hop, it'll be a sober one).
