Tuesday: How Will Non-Profits Survive?

The current economic climate may be tough on businesses, but it's proven even more difficult for non-profit organizations that rely on donor contributions to survive. On Tuesday, Zocolo's Public Square series hosts a panel on the future of the sector, asking "How Will Non-Profits Survive?"

The discussion will be hosted by Community Partners President Paul Vandeventer. On the panel are the Weingart Foundation's Fred Ali, California Black Women's Health Project founder Frances E. Jemmott, United Way's Alicia Lara, L.A. Health Action's Yolanda Vera and USC's Adlai Wertman.

Community Partners acts as incubator for roughly 150 non-profit projects, including blogdowntown's parent, verbdowntown.

The event takes place at 7:30pm at the Central Library (524 S. Flower). There is no charge, but reservations are required and can be made via the event website.
