It's Monday, February 9, and Council's got a full slate of meetings. On the agendas this week are river revitalization, a street closure MOU, a sign district, affordable housing loans and late night pilot reports.

MONDAY: The Ad-Hoc River committee meets at 3pm, considering several items related to the revitalization of the Los Angeles River. On the docket, reports on the possible creation of a Los Angeles River Revitalization Corporation and Los Angeles River Foundation.

Budget & Finance committee is holding its second roving meeting, setting up shop in the Palms area. Talk again focuses on budget priorities.

TUESDAY: Three committees and council are in session.

At Council, item 20 is CF 08-0533, the Historic Broadway Corridor Parking Task Force report asking for authority to negotiate with property owners. We covered this report previously.

Item 22 is CF 08-3401, an MOU between LADOT and AEG governing how and when Chick Hearn Court can be closed to connect Nokia Plaza to Staples Center.

Planning and Land Use Management committee will consider CF 09-0189, the Figueroa and Olympic sign district we wrote about recently.

WEDNESDAY: Again, three committees and council have posted agendas.

At Housing, Community and Economic Development, CF 09-0145 is a $900,000 loan for Skid Row Housing Trust's Charles Cobb Apartments on San Pedro street. Construction on the $20 million project is expected to be finished later this year.

A few items later, CF 09-0266 is an $11.9 million loan for the Alexandria.

At Council, item 38 is CF 08-3381, a motion directing Recreation and Parks to use Quimby funds to snag land in Council District 9 via forclosure auctions.

Transportation Committee will hear DOT reports on both Late Night Red Line (CF 08-2119) and Late Night DASH (CF 08-1858) holiday pilots. The DASH report includes a blogdowntown mention. We'll have more on this on Wednesday.
