Tom Jones performs for NPR in February. Video of the show is available online.

Never let it be said that blogdowntown doesn't appreciate a full range of musical styles. Last week we sent some lucky winners to go see hip-hop's Busta Rhymes. This week we would like to send you to see 68-year-old crooner Tom Jones, still wooing crowds in his fifth decade of performances. Jones plays Club Nokia on Friday night, and we have five pairs of tickets for readers who would like to see the show.

Jones has a new album out, "24 Hours," but the show will feature a heavy mix from his long list of chart-topping tunes. Since his first #1 in 1965, "It's Not Unusual," Jones has reinventing his style multiple times, but all have been centered on his silky voice.

Tickets to the show are courtesy of Goldenvoice.

Want to go see Tom Jones? Just leave a comment with your favorite Tom Jones memory or song. We'll close the contest off on Friday at noon and contact winners via email or Facebook.

Tom Jones (with his glorious voice) has given me pleasure and made me happy for quite awhile now. In this economy I could use some pleasure and happiness. He just makes me feel — as he says — "gooood!" That man can sing!! And, I hear the Club Nokia is great!!

As a kid I remember my mom cleaning the house on a Saturday afternoon with the windows open and Tom Jones records (yes records, haha) blasting out "She's a Lady" ... written by a Canadian I might ad :) (Paul Anka).

Would love to see the show - thanks Blogdowntown for your giveaways.

Because I am the only one who has an actual Tom Jones album. So there. Oh wait...I'm ineligible.

My mom saw a Tom Jones show in 1969 in NYC. And has talked about it since.

I think thats reason enough to give them to me!

My favorite Tom Jones memory:

I used to work in the music industry and I was lucky enough to meet Tom Jones in Las Vegas, backstage after his fabulous show. We drank a case of champagne and while chatting, we realized I recently had lunch with a good friend of his. Small world. Tom invited me and my friend up to his suite for a late dinner. His security team led us to a back entrance, where a white stretch limo waited. We got in and the driver cruised along about 50 feet to another back entrance to the same hotel, which led to a private elevator, which took us to his suite. His chef prepared a fabulous dinner and afterwards, we smoked Macanudos, watched the latest Andrew Blake video, he showed off some of his fabulous jewelry, and we talked music until 4am. Although my hotel was right across the strip, Tom insisted it was late and I should just stay over in the guest bedroom. At breakfast the next morning, Tom asked, “I heard what sounded like someone jumping up and down on their bed last night. Was that you?” It was.

my favorite tom jones in memory is hearing the story about how my mother-in-law got busted for skipping school to greet tom jones at the airport, because she ended up in a photograph in the paper.

I'm going to have to go with "Tennessee Waltz" on the Chieftans "The Long Black Veil". Second by a hair is "Delilah".

"it's not unusual." i learned to gyrate like him, man. i would have grown those sideburns too but there was a little problem -- i was too young. i was only in grade school. girls throwing their underwear at him -- he was and still is the epitome of cool. the word "groovy" was coined for cats like him.

I can't believe no one picked "She's a Lady" as their fave Tom song! :) I think my Tom Jones memory goes in the "things that make you go hmmmmm" category. I don't remember how old I was, but could't have been more than4 or so- and my baby brother & younger sister & I were spending the night with our aunt,in North Hollywood. We didn't think too much about it then, it was just part of the strange ways of the world, but our aunt wasn't like most women we knew- for starters, she smoked like a fiend, cursed all the time, and always wore men's clothes. Not in an insouciant way, either, it was more ambivalent. & she had a whole group of women friends who had similar styles. On this particular night, her whole gang was visiting to watch the last "This is Tom Jones" show. These women were CRAZY for Tom Jones, and were so into the show, and paying so little attention to us, that at one point, I was holding my baby brother and one of the women handed me a glass of scotch and told me to hush. So from hearing him sing the James Bond theme, to whatever song that was in My Stepmother is an Alien, when I hear Tom Jones, I think of the smell of scotch and drag kings. See---hmmmmm. ;)
