Marquee: The marquee outside the Los Angeles Theatre announces BOXeight's Fashion Week 2009.
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Saturday brought day two of BOXeight's Fashion Week 2009 at the Los Angeles Theatre. Fittingly, it was an Old Bank District based designer studio, Skin.Graft, who held the marquee position to their Fall collection.
The attractive line continues the distinct wit and daring of designer Jonny Cota, Cassidy Haley and Katie Kay. And the punk-victorian-leather forms seemed to fit well inside the historic theater.
The first full day of the event, shows stretched from early afternoon into the night. While blogdowntown didn't catch every show, pictured are designs from recent FIDM grad Jen Awad, Smoke & Mirrors and LAEKEN.
