A sign posted at 6th and Broadway advised travelers that the street would be closed. Friday morning traffic seemed lighter than normal.

Hours before three immigration marches are scheduled to make their way up Broadway, the street was quiet this morning. A scattering of Metro buses made their way up and down the street before the transit operator detoured service at 11am.

Notices posted at bus stops advised Metro patrons to use the Red and Blue rail lines to get outside of Downtown before searching for their buses.

The first of the Broadway marches is scheduled to begin at approximately 1pm, and marches will impact Downtown traffic throughout the afternoon.
