Win Tickets to See Shiny Toy Guns at Club Nokia
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles-based Shiny Toy Guns brings their Grammy-nominated electro-rock to Club Nokia on Saturday, May 9, and we've got tickets for you to see the show courtesy of Goldenvoice.
The band made a Downtown stop last fall as part of L.A. Weekly's Detour festival, performing outdoors on 1st street. For the indoors show at Club Nokia, the band is joined by openers Nico Vega, Electrocute and The Ringers.
We've got five pairs of tickets to give away. Just leave a comment saying why you should win, and make sure to log in via Facebook or leave an email so that we can contact you if you win. Contest closes at 8pm on Thursday night.

"You Are The One" is one of my fav songs ever.
I loove Nico Vega, the opening act, sooo much.
I also haven't gotten to go to Club Nokia yet, because I am sad and paying for student loans and a myriad of other things that prevent me from going to awesome concerts.

My sister got my mom and I into Shiny a few years ago, and the music just moves me! It is not only awesome, fun, club, dance music; but something that can be listened to and appreciated for its very real musical value.
This is music that inspires the imagination. I don't get to go to many concerts and to see them live would be such an amazing, experience that I would never forget.

I was on vacation in Vegas and cut it short to fly home early just to see them in Boston. I left Las Vegas early to go see them, I mean come on

My good friend just moved to LA a few months ago because she had a close relative that was sick, she moved out here to help take care of her and her relative passed away a few days ago. She loves shiny toy guns and it would be awesome to suprise her with tickets to see the show this Saturday. It would really mean a lot to her.

My girlfriend and I went on our first date listening to the song Rocketship. She hasn't seen them live. It's been almost a year now and I'd love to surprise her with tickets. Also the song Major Tom is the best.

I don't have any great reasons for why I should win the tickets, except that I love Shiny Toy Guns and Club Nokia. If nobody else wins or if there are extra tix, I will be happy to spend my hard earned dollars at LA Live and Nokia. Thanks for all the great work on this blog!

ive been going to GOLDENVOICE shows for the past 7 years and they always have the best bands at the greatest venues. This show will be no different. One of the newest bands to rock my world is playing in my hometown. At what I and most of L.A. consider our home venue. No better promotional team to run a show, no better place to have a show and no better band to see. Please give me the free tickets so I can pay my rent. Because I will have to buy tickets if not, and not pay my rent.

An avid follower of Shiny Toy Guns, I'm a USC student who's never actually made it to one of their shows, nor have I been to LA Live/Club Nokia. I can promise you I will dance "Le Disko" if "You Are the One" to give me tickets!
I'm also headed to London for school in mid May, meaning this could very well my last chance to see them in some time!

Because Shiny Toy Guns is RAD!!! and there's nowhere I'd rather be then at Club Nokia listening to some cool tunes. I've never seen them live and this would be a night to rememeber for all times! :) My friends have already booked their tickets for this awesome show and I would love to join in the fun!
