Mogwai performs in Hong Kong earlier this year.

Scottish rock band Mogwai comes to the Orpheum Theatre on Saturday, May 16, and we've got tickets to send you to the show thanks to Goldenvoice.

Formed in the mid-1990s, Mogwai is often associated with the post-rock genre. The band, whose name comes from the movie "Gremlins," has released four albums: Mogwai Young Team, Come On Die Young, Rock Action and Happy Songs For Happy People. The Orpheum stop is the next-to-last stop on the band's four-week US tour.

The 1926 Orpheum is the only historic Broadway theatre to have yet received a full renovation. The ornate, 2,000 seat venue received a $3.5 million update in 2001, and today hosts a steady stream of shows and events, including 35 concerts in 2008.

"Heavy psychedelic rock" band Dead Meadow opens.

We've got two pairs of tickets to give away. Just leave a comment saying why you should win, and make sure to log in via Facebook or leave an email so that we can contact you if you win. Contest closes at 8pm on Thursday night.
