i should win because i have all of mogwai's albums, eps, and rarities and i moved to downtown several months ago. i have not been to a show in downtown yet, so this would be a welcome as a newly downtown resident.

I've never seen a show at the Orpheum! Mogwai would be a great band to see in the atmosphere of such a lovely historic theater, a nice dialectic.

Mogwai in a proper theater would be an amazing experience. It would absolutely do them justice. I was so sad when I missed M83 @ the Walt Disney Concert Hall...this might make up for it..?? :)

I don't know why I should win, but the last show I went at the Orpheum was PJ Harvey a long time ago so I'd like to go again.

I need another positive experience at the Orpheum. Don't let this be perceived as an explicit reason why I should win this contest but I think it's a pretty persuasive argument. The last time I had the chance to be at the Orpheum I watched Devendra Banhart throw a hissy-fit when the security guys wouldn't let him have a bootyshakin' dance party on stage during "i feel just like" a child or whatever he was about to play. I almost got tackled by a neckless muscular security guard and was encouraged to stay out of things. Nonetheless I love Mogwai and would be far more qualified to enjoy this show gratis than everyone else because I actually only one week left on this planet before my space parents come in their rocket ship to pick me back up and take me to Mars so i can finish my space-homework, otherwise i'll get grounded. I mean spac-grounded.

I should win... I've been a fan of Mogwai for years, and a concert would otherwise redeem the fact that I have to work that day with dozens of screaming kids. Oh, and I've never been to the Orpheum. Please?
