Those who missed out on getting their lunch delivered by LAPD's finest today will have another chance Wednesday, as "Tip-a-Cop" moves to the Redwood Bar & Grill.

Officers from Central Division protected tips and served lunch in today's "Tip-A-Cop" event at Pete's Cafe. Proceeds from the Law Enforcement Torch Run fundraising event go to the Special Olympics of Southern California.

After three years of this fundraiser, most LAPD officers who "staffed" Pete's from 11am to 2pm were rather experienced, and the short shift saw no major spills.

Tomorrow's event will take place from 11am to 2pm at the pirate-themed Redwood, located at 316 W. 2nd.

This was a great event. Thanks to Tom Gilmore for hosting it. Thanks to everyone for coming out. Waiting is hard work!
