DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES — A forecast for clouds couldn't stop Hope for Firefighters. A cool, overcast morning gave way to sun and warmth as over a thousand Downtowners made their way to Hope street for the twelfth annual edition of the event, which raises funds for the Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association’s Widows, Orphans and Disabled Firemen’s Fund.
Teams from companies and organizations around Los Angeles competed in the muster games, replicating traditional firefighter tasks. For the residents and office workers who made their way down today, the star attraction was food prepared by twenty five fire houses.
